@pcwalton resubmitted a stack probe implementation which can be wired up to it, and it seems like it's going to land and stick there. -
Any chance of them making this the default behaviour?

Not sure, but distributions should do that. Microsoft mandates it as part of the Windows ABI so Clang has stack probes there always uses it.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it should be the default. There needs to be a solid reason to turn it off in a distribution.

Agree that it should be the default, just not sure that they would be willing to do that. Meant that distributions should if they don't.
