You need it at a per-request level (an Erlang process) and I don't know why other languages are not picking up that idea. It's brilliant.

Short variant: you could run a 16.7ms frame render time loop on Go without too much trouble.

Yep, and nobody dies when you drop a frame. Having said that, hard realtime and GC do mix.
