There is a great variety of shielding bags for car keys starting around $4 that are way more comfortable to use. The market has already accepted the threat as real… (unfortunately few people discuss the amazing stupidity of making "no user action required" car keys the default).

I broke into my own truck with an $18 blood pressure cuff from Walgreens and the truck's own antenna. Modern cars are laughably insecure. Theves break windows, they don't RF hack.
