Don't look surprised when Americans say they go to church, it's not like in Europe where we have fantastic churches nobody use for religion.

in which state/region & of what denomination? Lutheranism sounds boring, but quite sensible & adverse to religious extremism

Texas is a great place. Very exotic for me. Up in northern Michigan I have many relatives. Immigrant roots from 100 years ago.
