No, it wasn't. Swedish parliament was hung 1973 and 1976, between 1976 and 1982 there was a centre/right coalition in charge.

No I don't. It all started with the 'public choice' movement when Reagan and Thatcher came to power. That was in the 80s.

That is not true. The breaking line for the welfare state was 1968 when Palme came to power. That's when it became too much.
