The real challenge is to understand why so many people take any opportunity to be destructive even when they themselves will be most hurt?

most of analysis has been on poorer labour voters; not much on why most middle class Tories voted out.

The middle class is the real challenge these days I think. They are under hard pressure these days.

true, but even in the well off Tory areas there were majorities for leave. Media just assumed this wld happen, not Q'd why

sort of; the sovereignty issue ranked #1 in Ashcroft post ref polling, but there is a degree of 'British exceptionalism'

Did you read Greenwald over at The Intercept the other day? He wrote something good on this, people seemed to like it anyway.

There're so many aspects of it. One must be a pro in economics, sociology, etc.etc.etc. to make a decision.

It is like selecting a football team manager via a referendum. Everyone knows football, you know. And noone knows it too.

I can't blame a lot of leave voters, they have been downtrodden for decades. Working class is now demonised as 'chavs' etc.

the only target they could hit. A poor campaign from remain didn't help and the press whipped up a perfect storm of fear.

disenfranchised, ignored, belittled, poorly informed, frightened, the list goes on. They were out for blood, the EU was 1/2

I too wondered: feel they have nothing to lose; misinformed by 'facts'; protesting gov; confusion between EU & UK laws.
