@mfcompany The EU parliament has almost no powers, as I am sure you know.
@mfcompany Well, all EU members today were not founding members. Only together will EU have enough strength to deal with external problems.

@andersostlund well, last night France closed its own borders and called its own army. Can't see anyone turning more power over to EUP now -
@mfcompany What's your point? Those are the powers France has and there is no other power. -
@andersostlund no. Just that turning to EUP with more power isn't the way, and the member states already have all the power they need to act -
@mfcompany Okay. That is what you said in the very beginning and I already responded to it. 4 years of unsolved war in Syria shows problem. -
@andersostlund agreed. But EU/US know that. Until a State actually goes to war, the problem will persist. it's not lack of powers to EUP -
@mfcompany Disagree. Common action have to be made much easier to match speed of events unfolding. Why not? Good for Europe. -
@andersostlund I disagree. The first state to show up and lead en force will instantly create a coalition to defeat the problem. -
@mfcompany Inefficient. Risk of internal conflict. - 6 more replies
