@we_pf Kerensky armed the red guards in 1917, Stalin drilled the Red Army in politics, not fighting before WWII, didn't listen to warnings.
@andersostlund don't forget Spain; Stalin's force fought there, didn't they?
@we_pf Sure but by 1941 the purge had taken place and fear and indoctrination dominated the Red Army.
@andersostlund well, the USSR did take tank technology (and tanks) from Britain and US before 1941 ...
@we_pf There were efforts. Germany and the USSR worked closely on aviation and tactics but Stalin executed many thinkers like Tukhachevsky.
@andersostlund not sure, but I doubt USSR and Germany cooperated militarily after 1933. Czechoslovakia diff. matter. UK/US ?
