@andersostlund I think the latter but the process will be something the neighbors can probably live without.

@jdwynnyckyj I say we shall look at 1989-1992. The neighbours did almost fine. -
@andersostlund agree but this time the RF is not shedding territory but imploding -
@jdwynnyckyj Don't be too sure. Many separatists in RF held back now. -
@andersostlund it sure feels like time for a purge, Putin has given these people way too much rope. -
@jdwynnyckyj Very sad what you are saying. I am not arguing against though. A great purge might be in the doings. -
@andersostlund historical precedence is there and Putin needs to do something or he's out, war with NATO is not a feasible option

@andersostlund according to the ancient Russian tradition, the revolutions happens after the actual fall of the regime, and not vice versa -
@IgorBrazhnyk Spring 1917? Wasn't the people revolting in the streets of Petrograd the reason the Czar had to go?
-
@andersostlund when regime is dying, his self-defense mechanisms are degrading too. That creates the environment for revolution. -
@IgorBrazhnyk Also, with less cash Putin will have to resort to violence to keep order. No more money to throw at social problems.
-
@andersostlund I guess, there will be some sort of "replacement". Most likely, the GKB-guy, again... -
@IgorBrazhnyk Correct me if wrong but Medvedev is no 2 now right? Would he really be respected as no 1 if Putin dies?
-
@andersostlund in model: Medvedev vs KGB vs "Militaries" (Shoigu) the main fight will be between KGB and Shoigu.

@andersostlund I fear Putin too strong. Reply to query: Russians need mass mobilization a la Maidan to oust Putin & be free#oustputin -
@idlaboha So, Russia will disintegrate only following Putin's natural death? -
@andersostlund I think x-captive nations and world would accept unnatural as well. -
@idlaboha You bet. Question is how and who will execute?
