    Takket være at poden glemte nettbrettet hjemme på vei til skolen i morges og ringte meg fra T-banen like etter kl 8.00, fant jeg ut at det tar 28 minutter for meg å sykle Ekeberg–Majorstua på piggdekk i slutten av en mild januar, og at jeg fortsatt rekker morgenmøtet kl 9.00.

    Noen ganger dukker det opp geniale vinklinger på transportforskning. Her har en funnet ut at gående og syklister flest heller vil fortsette å sykle eller gå, enn å kunne ankomme umiddelbart. Har noen prøvd å ta med teleportasjon i verdsettingsstudier?

    Vision Zero isn’t a theory. It is practical. A data-driven approach to ensuring that all people - seniors, children, cyclists - are free from the risk of death, even if they make a mistake or a bad choice (as humans do). It can be implemented in *any city* immediately.

    Many people sharing this claim that we have reached in Oslo. While we are making great progress, there is still a way to go to consistently keep deaths at zero for all road users. Also, means 0 serious injuries, where we still have a long way to go.

    To clarify, no children died in traffic anywhere in Norway (pop. 5,3 million) in 2019. That’s a first, at least since WW2. Also, as the graph shows, there was a single lethal crash where a car driver hit a railing at a down town light rail station. That is still one too many.
