    Works very well with pretty much any game engine at the moment. Sketchfab does a good job there too though some of the fabrics require more advanced SSS and custom shading. But even the baseline case matches reference photography quite well.

    Started getting way too many demo asset request lately. So decided to make some demo packs available on some of the digital marketplace platforms for people to explore and validate. Hope to spend more time on other things next year though this one was super intense.

    Some more decorative arrangements. It's a faux plant yet the proper material properties are required to render it realistically under wide range of conditions. You can clearly see the fabric structures in the material decomposition.

    Testing out some more advanced video-referencing now :) Btw. We did scan patent leather before, but these cookies were tough. Likely, the process and procedures are pretty clear now.

    this was successfully scanned and processed half a year ago after about 20 failed attempts. Took more than a year prior to that to get the tech and operational procedures just right to be able to handle cases like this.

    Over the years I got to appreciate tools and processes that allow high degree of flexibility when handling edges cases rather than general ones. What seems to be trivial at first glance often turns into quite a learning experience.

    Learned more than expected about TrueType with all its kerning and hinting internals. Appreciate the amount of work one has to put into basic functioning font. The fact that TrueType runs a virtual machine with procedures and conditionals is fascinating.

    Back in the 8-bit Speccy days we had to design a multiple fonts for every demo production. All raster. Recently I ran into an issues of having consistent heading/captioning look across web, internal documentation, various applications, video and image captioning.

    It's full PBR scanning with materials that are optimized for specific shading models (albedo, various normals, roughness and additional custom parameters).
