Further, research shows that people we CAN reach are devastated by having loved ones sucked in by the conspiracies. They want help reaching them. We want to be that help because we must have a shared truth in order to exist on this shared planet.

We were *just* in the midst of stifling these dangerous and clearly contagious conspiracies thru hard fought social media crackdown and now we are doing PR for them, empowering the followers and driving new folks to seek out more info

Substantively, the conspiracy theories also justify authoritarian action targeting liberal politicians + democratic institutions. (They're doing worse, so it's okay for us to do things that are bad.) Not sure how much that can come across with the messaging.
