If they fail to deliver, on a fool’s errand to appease a party that lets members issue death threats, they feed the Republican storyline that government is useless and ought to be destroyed. In other words, they’re campaigning for GOP in the midterms.

Maybe they'll course-correct, but this obsession with 'bipartisanship' and 'compromise' will cost them, and more importantly, the people who need that government that is actually concerned about their needs.
