California has the chance to lead the nation. Levy an immediate tax, end evictions and hand out cash. Having Californians starve, go homeless and die is a choice we don’t need to keep making.

We could have had Christmas and New Years, real school and living relatives and we chose not to. We forced people to choose between their lives and their living, endangering ourselves to enlarge the fortunes of the already rich.
