Just another instance of dereliction of duty. They swore an oath to defend and protect and they certainly aren't and haven't been doing either one.
People are dying. Republicans - with the stroke of a pen - could make sure Americans can eat and stay housed, prevent and treat this pandemic. And they're choosing to shelter corrupt corporations who endanger our lives & make fruitless attempts to subvert the will of the voters.

It's like they're presenting this choice—Be hungry and destitute or give the freedom to companies and other institutions to put their workers in danger from Covid.

I teach about how the country prioritizes Corporate Welfare above Social Welfare and how the latter is stigmatized but the former is shown as deserving, worthy.

I have yet to walk into a small local business that hasn’t put in safety measures for their employees and customers. He’s not fighting for shields for them. He’s not protecting main street. He’s willing to starve them for the Amazon’s and Smithfield’s.
