Pro-tip: Calling “student debt” reinforces false idea it’s rightly obligation of the learner. We don’t call mortgages “homeowner debt” nor car loans “driver debt.” Have tested it: education debt much better.

What's the word you suggest in place of "forgiveness?" I will absolutely use that to discuss ending "education debt" from here on out.
