Let’s shine a light on what’s actually happening: Trump could not keep us from voting and he could not keep us from counting. So, he’s throwing a tantrum & many Republicans are indulging his cries because they fear his wrath & need his fan base for their own campaigns and goals.

Why? He doesn’t have any power unless those around him oblige his pathetic whims. I think they are the problem, not him. He’s just a giant toddler.
Fundraising. That’s why. It’s not just Trump cashing in on manufacturing and stoking grievances. It’s all simply an extension of the predatory televangelism that’s integral to the religious right.

I meant why are the Republicans scared of him? With even a “little”foresight, they should realize that they are on the wrong side of history on this one. The evangelical sheep have lost their way... following the wolf instead of their shepherd.

I don’t have any special insight into them (we don’t hang out or chat.) ;) But what seems apparent is (1) desire to appease Trump’s base (2) $ (3) destroying faith in govt so they can attack Biden admin and block any policy making
