Cry it out is not a controversial technique with early childhood professionals. You cannot reason with a toddler when they’re tantruming because they are not using their pre-frontal cortex, the part of the brain we use for logic.
I grant that cry it out is a controversial technique and parents have very different perspectives. But when done to a group of reality resistant grown men I think we can agree it’s just fine.
