The fact that we’re having this whole progressive vs centrism debate in our outdoor voices is proof positive that we have not learned to stop selling the recipe and start selling the brownie.

Exactly. We set up our bake sale and see who wants our brownies and who wants their stale pretzels. It's precisely *because* they know they can't compete with our brownies that they pull back to labeling and siloing the brownies as "progressive."
