The fact that we’re having this whole progressive vs centrism debate in our outdoor voices is proof positive that we have not learned to stop selling the recipe and start selling the brownie.

But Anat, we do have to agree about what we're selling. The Democratic Party thinks we're in the doughnut business while you and I know the product the people are demanding is brownies. :)
Doughnuts is generous. :) I think many of them would have us be in the dry pretzel game.
