I mean – it raises money though. That's their goal.
It does do that I'm sure. However, testing of threat and/or fear-based fundraising appeals versus hope and/or change-based ones actually demonstrate former offer diminishing returns. Many experts in fundraising see this approach as antiquated. Also - it depresses turnout.
