Democratic leaders should issue statements that they’ll add justices like an Oprah-style car give away if GOP rams through a new justice. If Republicans believe their actions could dilute their power they’ll change course.

No, it's a strategic course of action based on extensive research on framing, narrative and people who aren't political junkies. It is foolish to think it would be the one thing to stop the GOP; however it helps set us up to fight more powerfully.

Frame is key, can’t give in and use their frame. If we do, we lose. Saying ‘nothing will stop the GOP confirmation’ helps them + depress our own base support. We got to frame as a ‘ram thru democracy’! GOP as enemy, Dems as the Yoda for the American ppl (our heroes)

democrats r going falsely hope again that somehow all of these republicans who have shown time and time again that all they care about is winning and "owning the libs" will find some fiber of ethics and morality. If i was Nancy Pelosi, i would use any tactic avail to stop this.

Actually, they should consider doing it regardless of what happens with the currently vacant SCOTUS seat. Also , expand other courts and seek to impeach, at minimum, all Trump appointees rated as “not qualified.”
