Messaging SCOTUS as "GOP hypocrisy" is utter failure. Suggests we stand for nothing - there isn't a higher order value here. Has us quoting 2016 GOP talking points (note they're quoting 2016 Dems to charge us with hypocrisy too.) Say what you're for. Claim moral high ground.

Also I think framing it as *the election is already underway, with voting happening now* helps make clear that it’s not hypocrisy in that R’s are doing now what they wouldn’t let D’s do with Garland, but that this is actually a totally different beast. AND still hypocritical

Like, the idea that a Supreme Court nominee should not be pushed through at the last minute by a president possibly motivated by protecting himself and stealing the election, while the election is already underway - seems like something most folks would understand and agree with
