Replaying unconscionable 2016 GOP statements is claiming agreement with them. GOP using Dem statements to justify filling seat and left using GOP quotations to argue for delay shows how ineffectual messaging approach is. There are principled reasons to hold off - name them.

I want to push back some on “taking the high road” — if high road is proposing bold ideas, policy that directly addresses people’s needs and inspires an expansion of the electorate, yes! If “we go high” is just campaign rhetoric about change that’s not nearly enough

Never not ever empty platitudes. Agree with you that peddling milquetoast wins nothing. But saying what we’re for - while naming villains - works.
