To me, Biden is seeming to (effectively) neutralize Trump’s narrative about Biden’s weakness and turn it on it’s head, focusing on all the ways in which Trump is weak. My sense is that is where Trump (like any bully) is vulnerable- his only power is his bravado.
Great question! If I were Biden (held his beliefs) I would express this as - "I believe in capitalism, always have. From my working class roots to bringing our mighty auto industry back from the last Republican-made recession - I believe in the grit & determination (1)

Of working people in America. And I believe that most Americans want liberty & justice for all - no exceptions." (2) In essence - say what you're for not what you oppose. The latter risks reaffirming what oppo says about you.
