Again, I disagree. I showed the clip to my R friends who now support Biden, and they were influenced by Lincoln ads. They felt the women reached this conclusion more quickly.

(1) Women soft supporters definitely more persuadable than men. (2) Effect of YOU (their friend) showing ad, asking them to watch thru massively diff than them getting it (3) anecdote isn't data. Most people stop watching overtly political ads less than 4 seconds in.

Here’s a thing to consider. What happens in a clinical setting is not always reflective of reality. The greatest ad ever, was Apple’s 1984, which would have failed focus groups, while wildly succeeding in making a brand statement. If sci dictated art no movies would make u cry

Totally true, self-reporting and qualitative methods (like focus groups) not definitive. Measuring action - eg like willingness to donate, sharing a thing, recall after weeks or months - is far better research design. People only know what they think that they think.
