I don’t want their votes. I want the votes of everyone who stayed home because they didn’t believe the last election mattered. I want the votes of people who were apathetic. The ones that still support Trump are too few.. and pandering to them is not worth the cost.
Amen. Agreed. But since people, including Dem donors, are throwing money at these persuasion efforts at least prefer to correct record on what works.
These soft Tru*p voters exist and they WILL vote. In my experience, they are older women who have voted Republican all their lives. They didn't really know what they would get in 2016, so they went along. BUT, they are appalled with what has happened.
I want their votes because they show up every time. They are decent people and we have more in common with them than we do differences. And they will support us on the progressive issues. We have to paint that positive picture. They are tired and want the divisive to end.
Also, we need not merely to win but trounce bc Trump/GOP won’t just accept results. Picking off supporters matters when we need to build will to seat new government. We haven’t truly contended w what we’ll face post vote.

I don’t think that these donors realize that the LIncoln Project will use their elevated status to defeat Dems. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but I don’t trust them to stay focused on Trump through November. Trust has to be earned, and there is no foundation for trust with them.
