Anecdotally I can say that locals are being pretty good about masks, tourists are all over Livingston without them, and the Trump/freedom crowd are still being assholes.

Is anyone doing anything rigorous to see if they significantly affect behavior?

Worthwhile question - but short of traditional surveys with high probability of response bias (in this case), or very ethically questionable video scraping techs, how could we robustly measure uptake? Could do experimental studies, but external validity would be a big issue
