Europeans looked at the Revolution as a evidence that a band of equals could overthrow tyranny. They were projecting their own political fantasies onto a colonial reality. But it’s time to actualize those fantasies.
America’s origin story has courageous rebels refuse to acede to powers that be, forging a nation of liberty and justice for all. To oppose protest, BLM, immigrant rights or Indigenous sovereignty is to admit our actual origins and present day purpose is white supremacy.
