The origin of most of the violence in the protests has been the police.
The fundamental issue with asking the public for opinions on protests that are violent is that it suggests organizers have any hand in or say over that violence, let alone how media portray the nature and origin of that violence.

Absolutely. That’s why it’s so infuriating to see that any poll would ask generically approve/dis on “violent protests.” That framing alone renders question biased.
