Vote is a verb. It is an action we need people to take - often through deliberately difficult barriers. We have reams of data about habit formation and motivation for new *behaviors* (not beliefs.)

Fear is an inhibiting emotion - so all this vote like your life depends on it is misguided. Anger - sure - that's an activating negative emotion; has its uses. But we must also give people something to vote for, not merely against. What we fight we feed.

I believe we're the same thing (or I am not understanding what you're saying.) :) We need to be challenging -- getting angry and also making people hunger for what we can and should have. That's v. diff than feeding fear.
