It’s not about profits in this case. It’s about counting the infected, which Trump knows are “his numbers”.
Trump could absolutely hasten our ability to open everything by making wide spread testing available. But where’s the profit in that?

Its why they havent interceded the supply chains of PPE. Even Fauci said that it would be up to the private sector. All of them believe private industry will get us out of this. So unless private industry solves the testing problem we will never leave our homes. We are doomed
