If this were war, the US would be more than prepared. We have piles of arms. If the GOP task were to kill, they'd be acing it. But this is a revelation: an unveiling of human needs. Government's tasks are to protect and heal - the reasons for its existence. The GOP is a failure.

Let’s not forget that one of the Trump boosting fox news media hosts bragged on tv if he couldn’t see it, it wasn’t real, so he didn’t wash his hands. No way those asshats would invest in fighting a virus when they don’t believe in them in general. Microscopic is too complex.

Fundamental divide: many on the right believe the govt. is purely for border and defense and within the country, it should be a free-for-all of free market with minimal control. They believe that -- even in pandemic -- anyone who needs help from the govt. is a failure.
