Very very frustrating to see how frequently we use ourselves as the metric for what will prove persuasive to people who think completely differently from us.

I’ve read most of your stuff and listened to most of your podcasts, even been on calls with you. I take your advice very seriously but I’m failing. I enjoy abstracts but they are difficult to apply for most. As a species we learn through mimicking and adding our own adjustments.
First I’m sure you’re not failing. Second, is my advice too abstract generally (not this tweet but handouts and ads and presentations)? If so that’s useful feedback. I aim to be super concrete - say this not that, but perhaps I’m failing.

I’m going to disgust this a bit and try to be thoughtful. In the short term I can very easily say that you are not failing. Maybe I have been harsh toward myself with that word. I’m going to give it thought.
