It's not up to working people to endanger their own lives to make ends meet. And calling them superheroes tacitly let's our total failure to have a functional social structure get shunted out of the frame.

PSA for all tempted to frame frontline workers as “superheroes”: Don’t. We cannot keep valorizing cult of hard work. It's gross and reduces people to their productive potential. Having to work under these conditions is the total shame of our collapsed society.

Ditto. People caring for us - not optional to take off of course - still shouldn’t be happening under these conditions. There should be masks and enough people and adequate beds.

Good point. Yet I still believe anyone risking their lives rather than isolating (income needs aside) is worthy of sincere appreciation.
