I think the Warren camp screwed up here. Not because she started it or he started it or whatever, but because Dem voters are so obviously spooked about race and gender this cycle.

There’s a winning message that embraces being a new kind of leader: but you’d have to employ it all along not just in moment of heat. Nutshell - “we need new leaders who reflect the best of every kind of American.”
Reflect (visual congruity) not merely represent (speak on behalf of). Idea that part of our dysfunction is due to keeping people with different lived experience (as woman, as person of color, etc) out helps abate not just fear of “electability” but makes case govt can be for all
