If Dems make impossible promises like "no war" then get blame and accused of lying when that becomes impossible to fullfill. Example: Obama & pulling out of Iraq.
Totally true and fair. I’m not suggesting the messaging be about impossible promises. Pursuing peace, for example, isn't a false assurance there will never be conflict
But Americans seem increasingly incapable of processing complex information. They want easy black & white answers when most are usually grey and in the "least bad to a little bit good range." I still see people - on the LEFT - calling Obama a "war criminal"... 1/x
..because he made decisions that I am sure Obama didn't want to make but was forced to make by realities on the ground. Obama was as dovish president as we ever had since maybe Carter. I like Obama but recognized that his aversion to conflict unshackled Putin & others.
