The simplistic descriptor fight or flight doesn’t convey people’s responses to fear based directives. More rightly, people fight flight or freeze, the preponderance do the last. Growing and sustained engagement doesn’t come in response to fear messaging.

True! But what mobilizes a conservative base and a progressive base (and sustains) is not the same. The underlying psychology of each group differs. Have tested for years.
