The X state (WI, MI, PA) is what will make or destroy 2020 is a fear based message. It says - get involved or the worst will happen. Fear messages are proven to evoke fight or freeze in base (those ideologically aligned.)

Instead - a message that emphasizes X state will be what leads the way, turns the tide, grand Marshalls the parade to a better, safer, saner, more just and stable future would inspire and sustain a growing base while persuading a larger portion of the middle

Its all Pennsylvania. Its there he got 286,416 more votes than any other repub ever in the 60 smallest counties. In WI *rump got fewer votes than Romney and MI a little more. In MI/WI it was all about using GOP governors to suppress the vote. Both states are run by Dems now

Most of the Dem fundraising emails I get (and I get ALOT) have nearly doomsday subject lines. “I have bad news”, are they serious?! Nobody wants to read that.
