This demonstrates how, despite incredibly surges in productivity (hard work) almost every American has had their wages decline in real terms (measured against what you can buy/cost of living) while the wealthiest snatch more and more of gains. Refute.

Still doesn’t negate the fact that America is the only place you can go from nothing to the top. Every economy will have hard workers who just don’t have the right skills or education or whatever. Not everyone will make it big, but you CAN make it big here

So appreciate the hope in this idea. But, in reality, upward mobility in US is actually the LOWEST of the entire industrialized world. The number one correlate of financial success is how much your parents have.
