I had to drive to E. Aurora on Weds. and it finally hit me how isolating it's been ONLY existing in Rochester for so long. I stopped into Mr. Pot Pie to buy a pot pie, as one does, and signed up for their rewards program. They asked for my cell phone # and assumed it was 716.

When I covered East Aurora at my first journalism job I got to go to Roycroft a couple of times, which was a blast.

I worked as the studio manager for a Roycroft Renaissance artisan (printmaker and painter Laura Wilder) for years. Though she is based in Rochester I got to go to the Roycroft campus with her a few times. So cool!
