Doug Ford said during the leadership debates that he "agreed" with re-legalizing reparative therapy on kids. he will likely defund GRS in year 2. he will also likely attempt to prevent birth certificate changes for trans people. you have 9 months before his first budget.

Does anyone who might see this know if I can change my name through Ontario as a resident of Alberta? I was born in ON and I'm pretty sure I have to change my gender marker through them, but idk if i can do my name at the same time. I can't afford two new birth certs.
And I can't really find any definitive resources for doing this in one province when you live in another, except maybe for paying twice for reissued birth cert with gender marker and then name? It's all very confusing.
I did it. I'm not going to lie and say it was a cake walk but it's not all that much work all things considered. Just a little frustrating if you don't have ahead for paperwork.
