The demonstration was finished, people were leaving or just walked pass by the shopping mall. But the police chased after them with no reason, and blocked different exit of the mall. HK police has no professions but chose to beat up residents to vent.

Better? Look at France, UK and any other country , in the face of the same situation, the Hong Kong police have been quite restrained. A large number of protesters left the parade route to enter the mall, the police were obliged to stop it.

No, the police *surrounded* the protest route. Wouldn’t let the protestors leave. Then drove them back into a shopping mall where all the exits were blocked by cops. The police deliberately created this situation.

You’re so keen to jump to “support the police” that you don’t even care to find out the facts of the matter. I WAS there, and I’m telling you the police put everyone at risk by trapping hundreds of people in an enclosed space with residents/shoppers and then charging them.

Once you trap and attack people, any counter action is self-defence. People were trying to leave. The police had ZERO REASON to go into the mall. If they had stayed outside, the crowd would have dispersed as it had been trying to do for hours.

The police wanted violence, chased people to unleash violence, and after starting the fight go “we had no choice, they attacked us”. No, you start the fight, you own the fight. And most of those cops are wearing no ID numbers so we have no way to make official complaints.
