    This is what qualifies as NP clinical rotations in some NP schools. Random pleas on social media to shadow anyone so that they can be unleashed in the public and be allowed to practice medicine independently with no supervision 😳

    I have no doubt that this defendant wanted to help. This is the outcome when “healthcare providers” don’t know what they don’t know. We don’t treat a heart rate. We don’t treat a lab result. We treat a human with an illness with good understanding of pathophysiology.

    I wouldn't dare call myself a nurse or pharmacist, though I have skills/training that overlap with each (all physicians do). I also wouldn't dare demand a broader scope than my educ/training afford me. Why would anyone demand a physician's scope without med school & residency? 🤔

    Studies show patients want physician-led care. They know when it comes to their health. Quality, depth of educ/training, expertise matter. It’s what we all want for our loved ones. Medicine must maintain highest standards. No shortcuts to caring for people!

    The next ime someone starts to say “NPs know their scope”, I want them to read all 100 pages of this deposition. An FNP (not trained in acute care) hired by a hospital to work alone w/o supervision in an ER. Result: 19 yo girl dead

    Perhaps the best indicator of health during this time that coverage has increased is life expectancy. Only during the ACA have we seen a decrease in that metric in this country
