Thanks for the reminder. Things are so dire right now it seems I’m constantly putting off my mammogram waiting for things to get better. I’m making my appointment today.

Interesting that I found this today since I am going this afternoon for my mammogram. I had put it off because of getting my Covid vaccination in March. Happy all is well with you.

I was scared to click & read that article, but am glad you made that appt and that you’re doing well. I delayed my mammogram, too, but recently went to have it. Thankfully, all good. All women reading this should schedule theirs. We need all of us in this fight for our country!

I'm happy you are cancer free now, Senator. A friend also delayed her mammogram and is now fighting an aggressive stage 3 breast cancer. Please everyone, get your annual tests, be it cervical, colon, breast, testicular, whatever. Please.

Well said, Candy. Channeling good thoughts to your friend
So many people had to put off screenings these past 18 months, eluding early detection. As a survivor, this devastates me.
Went for a routine colonoscopy this week -- hope this inspires others to book their screenings

Such an important message! Very similar experience with my own family during this pandemic. Thank you for sharing.

Reminder: ask your radiologist if you have dense breast tissue. If yes, ask if you should also have an ultrasound or MRI. My cancer did not show on mammogram. It did show on MRI. Fortunately the radiologist reading my mamm noted the density, rec MRI, potentially saving my life.
