I had no warning that my biologic shots I take to keep my chronic disease from spreading, was part of this. It’s already been a struggle EVEN with insurance. Ugh!!!

Idk how much you got charged exactly but $5k/month for 2shots just wasn't enough profit, huh?!

You'd think based on the commercials, they'd want us to have them so we can be the workhorses they show us to be after 1 shot in those awful &misleading things! Hang in there!pic.twitter.com/BDgKWm96XQ -
Thank you. I take 4 a month totaling $6600 a month. Now they will be about $7200. I don’t pay the full amount but I pay a good bit. It’s scary to think I might not be able to afford them anymore.
-
I haven't been on them in about 2yrs bc of price (&obvi not going to be anytime soon either), I can feel a major diff in the year I was able to afford them, to now. If you're not already rich, we're worthless &need to suffer more. That's the conclusion I've reached.

-
That seems to be the case, doesn’t it? The 99% dont matter but the 1% do.
-
You knew that when they got tax cuts... Really?! Those who can actually afford taxes get to pay less...

And stop tv ads by pharmaceutical industry. We are one of us countries that allow it.
-
The drug commercials I find to be grosome as they call out all the side effects. Nothing like hearing a pill can make someone bleed out etc.

I saw this so often with ER patients in crisis. Rent? Food? Medications? What a choice to have to make.
-
Even with private insurance a visit to the ER they charged me $650 to tell me I had a bad sinus infection (my doctor was out of town). $650 was my part and I got good insurance they work too push the cost down of the bill but still $650!
-
Yes, ERs are the highest billing of all healthcare options. Urgent care centers, cheaper, and then the doctor's office visit. Sometimes ERS are necessary; The folks I was seeing had no insurance at all. None. This was in the pre-ACA years.
-
No insurance is scary. Clinics need to open later in the evening. I live in a rural area of 5000 people. Another thing I've noticed this past year is its hard to get into a doctor on the day ones sick. A lot of patients & not enough doctors or doctor Asst.. They seem overwhelmed.
-
Big problem and I hope House Dems address all the issues and strengthen the ACA.

One way would to be stopping advertising for prescription drugs. That money could be used to lower prices.

A friend has inlaws who are Trump supporters. But they are elderly and can afford meds for *only one* of them. They blame Obama. Regardless, I can't believe that one is going unmedicated! Something *very* wrong with this picture. It's 2019, in America!!
-
Tell your friend to check into goodrx for them, it may help to save costs. It's the darnedest thing. Acts like insurance, but it isn't. It's free to use, and one "member" number is good for both of them. Can get a number online, or most doc offices have cards in the waiting rooms
-
I've used this card myself and it saved me in touch times along *with* my insurance. But I doubt these people would, it truly feels like they'd rather be angry and without their meds. Like Trump is!
