I think they are going to have to remove McConnell as Majority Leader to do so, though. It seems he's a major obstacle.

Build the wall Or no deal.

Why not simply prosecute and fine every employer that hires undocumented workers? Much less expensive, no eminent domain or environmental catastrophe, and much more effective.
-
Enforcement of hiring law that affects wealthy business owners? Trump can’t have that!

I hope you can do something to convince
@SenMajLdr given he's a HUGE obstructionist. One person, even the so-called leader, shouldn't have ultimate power to keep bills from being brought up for a vote. The Senate needs a new leader. Mitch is compromised big time. - 1 more reply

I’m not a doctor but I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to “stand up” without a backbone.

The GOP sold those to Vlad, along with their souls.

There was a reason in 2006, that the barrier/fence was built only as far as it was. Those geographic reasons have not changed. That bill needs to be revisited for historical references.
-
We have long areas in Arizona that have a fence with 3 strings of barbed wire. Drug mules are always seen walking over this with backpacks. Also the illegal that killed the officer in California walked over this barbed wire. Not a real fence!
-
We have a fence here in so cal. Works great as a fence. But people come through the normal ports or even underneath. It’s why creating a huge wall is asinine. Spend the money more productively.
-
What’s asinine is not wanting a strong deterrent like a high fence. It’s a lot of trouble to dig a hole under a fence and not get caught. That’s why they go to areas that are easy to cross. You all are just a bunch of repeaters.
-
We have a high fences as a deterrent. That’s my point. There are established ways around them. No one goes over the fence here, so building a huge wall is pointless and a huge waste of money.

Yes to money for sensible border security, no to anything resembling Trump’s “wall.” Hold the line.

Trump is holding America hostage with this government shutdown! He owns it. His ignorance on how it affects America is astonishing. America does not negotiate with terrorists, especially those that lie 69% of the time. ime to circumvent Trump!
