Paul Wellstone was beloved by his constituents on both sides of the aisle because they knew he truly cared about them. He was a role model for many young people running for political office all over the country. Thank you for remembering a true American patriot.

I loved when he said, “We all do better when we all do better.”

Paul Wellstone was the first Senator I truly admired when I moved to DC and watched a lot of C-SPAN in my early 20's. I wish there were more like him. Keep up the good work, Senator Klobuchar.

I still remember vividly when it happened. Was a field intern for the campaign in the 2nd CD, and went to school with Will, although I didn't know him well.

One day I was in the main office in St. Paul, and they had me man the phone for a bit. Sen. Wellstone called in and I accidentally hung up on him, oops. He called back and was nice about it, but college-age me was a little worried for a second there.

Paul and Sheila W. walked by the St. Paul Tenant's Union, where I worked. As we waved at them like fangirls, he yelled "you do good work!" I thought, now i can die happy; Paul Wellstone thinks I do good work! Always missed and never forgotten.

I remember Paul's green campaign bus. That was one of the reasons I loved him. He was so down to earth, and didn't need flashy extravagance.

Right outside my hometown. I'll never forget when my mom called to tell me the news. I stop by the Well Stone memorial every time I go back to Eveleth.

We were in Atlanta waiting for a tour of
@CNN, wearing a University of Minnesota sweatshirt. A worker bee came over and asked if we would be willing to talk about Paul. My boyfriend at the time didn't like Paul so he said no. Losing Paul was an incredible loss for everyone.

I remember Paul. I was working a health event in Mpls. I told him I was from NM. He knew all my NM reps. It was right before he passed. Very nice man.
