To add a small amount of personal detail to the mix, I've got ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression (yipee!). Part of my issue is trying to make clear the distinction between I have control over and what I don't (it's very scary not knowing).

In some situations in my life, I find myself optimistic in outlook but crushed in application; the resources aren't supporting good practices. In other scenarios I sole control over, I'm trying to establish new habits but I find it difficult to follow through.

I am well aware I'm not going to always (or even often) FEEL like doing something...I guess I'm just trying to figure out how much of my ability to self-regulate is bio-chemical and how much is behavioral.
