    Private employers are not required to disclose what they pay employees. To help close the , we must pass the Paycheck Fairness Act to require employers to report salaries, promotions & dismissals by gender and race to the federal govt.

    Girls have options outside traditional gender norms, but the same can't be said for boys. When being a woman is seen as a disadvantage, why would a boy want to go outside his privileged domain? We must encourage femininity for all, as we do for masculinity.

    If a man does an equitable share of housework, his partner likely has her own bank acct. A UK study found men avoid housework by giving wives control of finances or by keeping control. Women's housework was reduced when they could access their own income.

    Women may shy away from talking about the realities of motherhood esp in the workplace, making it appear a seamless transition. It is not. You don't have to feel bad about how you are managing motherhood or your career. There are no rules.

    Rape isn't about a victim's looks or appearance or a 'type'. It is about power. Sex is the tool for the perpetrator to gain dominance over another person.

    As says, to make progress towards an equitable workplace, men need to take parental leave so that it is no longer considered a "women's issue."

    Pluralistic ignorance: Men may not take paternity leave even though they personally may want to bc they erroneously assume others think men shouldn't take paternity leave.

    Per US Labor Dept time use survey, women spend 3x more time per day on housework & childcare while the # of hrs women spend at work has increased. Consequently, as the survey shows, women have less free / leisure time than men.

    Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary almost exclusively invests w/ women due to their better returns. The women tend to set reasonable goals for growth helping them manage cash flow, while men more often set crazy high targets. "Women manage risk better."

    Imagine a world like this 🧐 ... perhaps we can just start where businesses, government departments etc innovatively share central childcare facilities that are accessible, affordable & in line with best ECD & aftercare practices 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Beauty products for women are marketed for their ability to improve appearance. For men, they are marketed to do something more, such as become a better man or get women (like the Axe brand). Thus suggesting beautifying is the "frivolous concern of women."
